Diabetes NZ
The national charity for people living with diabetes in Aotearoa. Local branches around the country, peer support groups, and a free helpline staffed by people who actually understand the condition.

Your local PHO
Primary Health Organisations enrol you with a GP and fund regular checks. The free annual diabetes annual review (DAR) is part of standard care for diagnosed people, and free heart-and-diabetes checks are funded for at-risk adults.
Healthline
Free 24/7 health advice from a registered nurse. Useful for after-hours questions, sudden symptoms, or simply working out whether you need to be seen tonight or can wait until tomorrow.
