Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This page explains what personal information Diabetes Awareness NZ collects, how we use it, and your rights under the Privacy Act 2020. We collect personal information in only one place on this site: the contact form on the Blog & Contact page.
What we collect
If you choose to use the contact form, we collect:
- Your name (so we can address our reply)
- Your email address (so we can reply at all)
- The subject line and message you choose to send
We do not collect health information, date of birth, postal address, or any other personal data through this form. We do not run third-party analytics (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.), so general visitors are not tracked.
How we use it
The information you submit is used only to reply to your enquiry. We do not add you to a mailing list, share your details with third parties, or use your information for marketing.
How we store and protect it
Submissions are emailed to the site administrator over an encrypted (TLS) connection. The site itself is hosted on a private server within New Zealand and is not exposed to the public internet beyond the contact form page. We delete contact-form correspondence once the conversation is finished, unless you ask us to keep it.

| Deletion | Ask us to delete your information when there is no longer a reason to keep it. |
